Choosing your PEP transfer fund

How do I transfer my PEP?
There can be significant benefits in transferring your PEPs. However, the paperwork can be confusing. Click here to send us your details for an advisor to help you.

What are PEP Transfers?
  • PEP transfers allow you to change your PEPs from the funds of one Plan Manager to those of another without losing the PEP's tax benefits.
  • Income and gains made within PEP funds are tax-free.
  • If you were to sell a PEP or a part of it, the tax benefits are lost for good.
  • Investment of the proceeds of an ISA would then use up all or part of your ISA allowance for that year.
  • You can transfer any numbers of PEPs.

Why Transfer?
  • You may have a PEP with which you are dissatisfied (e.g. it may be under-performing its sector).
  • You may have changed your attitude to risk.
  • You may now want income rather than growth from your PEP or vice versa.
  • You may wish to change the sector(s) in which the PEP is invested.
  • You might want to merge a single Single Company PEP with a general PEP fund in order spread your investment risk.
  • You may wish to split your PEP between investment managers.
  • You may wish to amalgamate several PEPs into one account whilst maintaining the original fund to simplify paperwork.
  • It could provide an opportunity to reduce ongoing charges.
